Celebrating 10 years of Walking Football in the local community...

An Easingwold based walking football squad is celebrating their 10th anniversary – having over the past 10 years helped to improve general well-being, fitness and mental health within their local community.

In 2015 local friends Tim Dickens and Steve Webster initiated the idea. Starting with just 5 players at the local Galtres Sports Centre numbers were soon boosted, and after 8 weeks they entered a British Heart Foundation Walking Football Festival in West Yorkshire as Easingwold Wanderers.
